Charming actor Richard Gere is back to entertain his fans with his upcoming flick, Norman: The Moderate Rise and Tragic Fall of a New York Fixer. Here, he is set to play a desperate loser, in the titular role. The story has been named by writer-director Joseph Cedar.

Bring Joesph on board, Gere reveals, “I told Joseph if I were directing and producing this movie, there’s no way I would hire myself. I can name a dozen terrific, New York, Jewish actors who know this character inside and out. They could fall out of bed and play this character.’ But I think Joseph was looking for something that wasn’t obvious”.

Gere prepared for the role taking nine months and getting into the mind and body of the character. On his preparation for the role, the Pretty Woman star said that it was a deep process for him and they took time to stay away from clichés and find solutions.
