    Rogue Nation Slams Box Office with $56 million Opening

    Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation has grossed $56 million in its opening weekend which puts it at the top of the weekend box office list. The movie grossed $20 million on the opening day and $19.7 million on Saturday. Rogue Nation stars Tom Cruise who is back as agent Ethan Hunt on another impossible mission.

    The movie has surpassed the expectations of the filmmakers who estimated an opening weekend total of around $40 million. Rogue Nation is the third largest opening for Cruise after ‘War of the World’s’ and ‘Mission Impossible 2’ with $64.9 million and $57.8 million respectively. Overall, the movie has made $121 million worldwide from July 31 to August 2. It seems like the movie has set off with a firm start.

    Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, Rogue Nation will be hitting theatres in India on August 7. Along with Cruise, the cast includes Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames and Alec Baldwin. 53-year-old Cruise who is known for performing his own stunts is seen hanging on the side of a plane in this instalment.
