Roseanne Barr created a buzz in Hollywood which led to the cancellation of her show following her racist tweet. ABC TV network has cancelled comedian Roseanne Barr’s sitcom after her tweet likening an African-American former Obama aide to an ape. ABC said, “Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values and we have decided to cancel her show”.

Soon after the controversy when she sent and then deleted a series of racist tweets, the 65-year-old actress took to Twitter to send out an apology to everyone on the show who lost their jobs over her “stupid,” racist jokes. “Don’t feel sorry for me, guys!!-I just want to apologize to the hundreds of people, and wonderful writers (all liberal) and talented actors who lost their jobs on my show due to my stupid tweet. I will be on Joe Rogan’s podcast Friday (sic),” Roseanne tweeted.

She wrote on Tuesday, "Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj." After her tweet, many Twitterati pointed out the tweet's racist nature. Barr reacted with another now-deleted tweet and wrote, "Muslims r NOT a race”.
