Rupert Wyatt Directing Green Lantern Corps!

Rise of the Planet of the Apes director Rupert Wyatt will be at the helm of affairs for ‘Green Lantern Corps'. Warner Bros. has roped in the director to work off the script written by David S Goyer and Justin Rhodes. This will be his first DC Extended Universe project.

The director is currently working on ‘Captive State’ which is a new sci-fi thriller. The cast for the flick includes John Goodman, Madeline Brewer, Vera Farmiga and Ashton Sanders. The movie will be released in August 17 next year.

On the other hand, ‘Green Lantern Corps' will star DC characters Hal Jordan and John Stewart. According to IMDB, the movie focuses on an alien interstellar police force called the Green Lantern Corps that is tasked with protecting the universe. The movie will be released on July 24, 2020.

Originally, the character of Hal Jordan a.k.a Green Lantern was played by Ryan Reynolds. The movie came out in 2011 and wasn’t able to perform well.
