Scarlett Johansson, Halle Berry Will Take The Stage At Oscars
The 89th annual Oscars will be held on February 26 at the Dolby Theatre. This time, several celebrities including Halle Berry, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson and others will be taking the stage to present the awards. This goes in line with the announcement made by Motion Picture Academy last week, stating that last year's acting winners will present this year’s awards, which is the tradition.
Last year, Halle Berry won the Oscar for best actress for her role in ‘Monster's Ball' which was directed by Marc Forster. On the other hand, Samuel L. Jackson was nominated for best supporting actor for his role in ‘Pulp Fiction’. The other actors who will present the awards include Gael Garcia Bernal, Dakota Johnson, Jamie Dornan, Chris Evans, Kate McKinnon, Shirley MacLaine and Hailee Steinfeld.
Producers Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd said in a statement, “These actors are why we love to go to the movies. From blockbusters to art house films, these artists deliver every time and we're thrilled to welcome them to the 89th Oscars stage”. The event will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel who hosts his late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live!
