Hellboy actress Selma Blair has joined Nicolas Cage in the new horror film Mom and Dad. Brian Taylor is directing and putting together a horror by the name of Mom And Dad, and he recruited Cage earlier this year, with the pair having previously worked together on Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance.

The film follows a teenage girl and her little brother, who must survive 24 hours of a mass hysteria that causes parents to violently turn on their children. Selma and Nicolas will play the parents of the children. Tim Zajaros and Christopher Lemole will produce through Armory Films.

Cage joined the film back in February and director Brian Taylor explained, “This is the kind of role Nick was put here to play. Human, funny, scary – somehow grounded while at the same time completely off the rails. For a film maker there is nothing quite like the experience of Nick Cage bringing a character you’ve written to life.”

Jere Hausfater will executive produce of the flick through Aldamisa International with Cassian Elwes also join the producing team with Zeal Media Co. The film release is still undercover while Shooting on Mom And Dad begins next month.
