Seth MacFarlane: I’m unable to do the Oscars again

A big announcement has been made by Seth MacFarlane on Monday that he won’t host Oscars again in 2014. But the news would have been bigger provided he hadn’t made the same declaration before, twice.

Executive producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron have been roped in again for the next Oscar season and therefore it’s speculated that MacFarlane may also make a comeback with his old partners. But he made his stand very clear this time tweeting, “Traumatized critics exhale: I’m unable to do the Oscars again.”

He stated further, “Tried to make it work schedule-wise, but I need sleep. However, I highly recommend the job, as Zadan and Meron are two of the most talented producers in the business. My suggestion for host is Joaquin Phoenix.” He made the same kind of announcement before the last Oscars while talking to Entertainment Weekly, “It’s the time commitment, I just don’t think I could do it again.” Now let’s wait and watch if he remains consistent about his plans or not.
