Shailene Woodley: Twilight...is about a very unhealthy, toxic relationship

The Descendants actress Shailene Woodley has shared her view about the worldwide blockbuster, Twilight saga, which she finds quite unhealthy as it is all about a toxic relationship.

22-year-old Woodley is the new entry in the league of actresses like Jennifer Lawrence, Kristen Stewart and Lily Collins who star in big-screen adaptations of best-selling young adult novels. Though Woodley showed her fondness of The Hunger Games actress Lawrence and also consulted her before signing Divergent, she has not the same feeling towards Stewart’s Twilight series. Woodley said about the love-saga, "Twilight, I`m sorry, is about a very unhealthy, toxic relationship.” She added further, "She falls in love with this guy and the second he leaves her, her life is over and she`s going to kill herself! What message are we sending to young people? That is not going to help this world evolve." Twilight is a love-story revolving around the romance between Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, played by Stewart and Robert Pattinson, respectively.
