Shia LaBeouf bags role in American Honey

The Transformers star Shia LaBeouf has bagged a role in American Honey, which will be helmed by Oscar winning director Andrea Arnold. The 28-year-old actor, who of late has become known for his off-screen antics, most recently made an appearance in David Ayer's Fury.

The movie has been described as the ‘coming-of-age drama’, which revolves around a runaway teenager who gets caught up in a whirlwind of hard partying, law bending and young love. As of now, it is unclear what character LaBeouf will be essaying in this flick.

The film is being produced by Lars Knudsen and Jay Van Hoy via Parts & Labor, along with Thomas Benski, Lucas Ochoa and Pouya Shahbazian. It is slated for release later this year.
