Transformers actor Shia LaBeouf recently shared that he did not have fun working with one of the greatest directors of all time, Steven Spielberg. According to Variety, Shia stated that Spielberg is more of a company and less of a director. He felt that his growth as an actor was being limited.

“I grew up with this idea, if you got to Spielberg, that’s where it is. You get there, and you realise you’re not meeting the Spielberg you dream of. You’re meeting a different Spielberg, who is in a different stage in his career. He’s less a director than he is a company”, the actor shared. He further went on to say, “Spielberg’s sets are very different. Everything has been so meticulously planned. You got to get this line out in 37 seconds. You do that for five years, you start to feel like not knowing what you’re doing for a living”.

The duo has worked together in ‘Disturbia’, ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’ and ‘Eagle Eye’. Shia said that the only movie he liked working with Spielberg was Transformers. He was also quite disappointed with the poor critical reception that Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull got.
