Developed on a budget of just $58 million, last year’s ‘Goosebumps’ grossed $156.7 million and naturally, the team would want to make a sequel. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony Pictures is currently developing the ‘Goosebumps’ sequel. It will bring back director Rob Letterman and screenwriter Darren Lemke.

In the original monster mystery, Jack Black played the role of author R. L. Stine. The actor has not yet signed for the sequel but it is expected that he will be on board. What the storyline might hold is a difficult question to answer as there are 62 books in the original ‘Goosebumps’ series so, plenty of material. Besides, no official announcements have been made regarding the plot.

‘Goosebumps’ also featured Dylan Minnette, Ryan Lee and Odeya Rush. The screenwriting was handled by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. It was produced by Deborah Forte and Neal H. Moritz, who will also be returning for the sequel.
