With a video on Kickstarter Lee came to know about the other projects which have taken financial help from such campaigns. Such projects include Veronica Mars which gained $5 million earlier this year and Zach Braff’s Wish I Was Here which raised $3.1 million in May. While detailing about the project on human beings addicted to blood, Lee stated it as “Funny, sexy, and bloody (and it’s not ‘Blacula’).” Lee’s film’s topmost Kickstarter donation is $10,000 and it will also prize the donor with a dinner and a courtside seat with Lee for a New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden. Lee said about the offer, “This is big, big time,” adding, “P.S. Knicks will be great this coming season.” Till now 352 supporters have promised a total of $29,105.
