The Stand: Scott Cooper to come in place of Ben Affleck?

The buzz in the town is that Crazy Heart maker Scott Cooper will be directing The Stand, replacing Ben Affleck for the same. At present, Cooper is in talks with the producers of The Stand for rewriting and directing it. It is being reported that Argo creator, Ben Affleck’s tight schedule forced him to take exit from the film.

The movie is an adaptation of Stephen King`s The Stand (1978). The novel was about the clash of good and evil, concerning loads of survivors. If all goes well then Cooper will go behind the camera to shoot the adaptation of this epic novel. He is also working on Creek that will be produced under the banner of Leonardo DiCaprio`s Appian Way.
