    Stephen King’s Revival Adaptation Eyeing Samuel L. Jackson

    Entertainment Weekly has reported that The Hateful Eight star Samuel L. Jackson is in talks to join the cast of the big screen adaptation of Revival. Stephen King has written the novel by the same name which was published in 2014. Jackson will play the role of the antagonist if the talks follow through.

    The novel tells the story of young boy named Jamie Morton who lives in a small New England town. Reverend Charles Jacobs enters the town as the new minister and develops a strong bond with Jamie based on a secret obsession. Through his journey as a nomadic guitar player, Jamie learns that revival has many meanings.

    Josh Boone has written the script for the cinematic adaptation. He will also serve as director for the film. Josh is working with producer Michael De Luca to get the ball rolling. They have submitted the project to Universal. Jackson has a busy year ahead of him with films like The Legend of Tarzan and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.
