It is well known by everyone that filmmaker James Cameron is working on the sequels of his of his blockbuster hit ‘Avatar’. And now we have heard that the director has planned to cast actor Stephen Lang in the sequel. After playing the villain, Colonel Miles Quaritch, in the first part, Stephen will once again put the Navy into trouble.

In an interview, the director said Stephen will be seen in all the four parts of the film. “But it’s not a whole bunch of new characters every time. There’s not a new villain every time, which is interesting. Same guy. Same motherf***er through all four movies. He is so good and he just gets better. I know Stephen Lang is gonna knock this out of the park.” The Titanic helmer also noted that there are a lot of new settings and creatures in the movie. He added, “I’m taking characters that people know and putting them in unfamiliar places and moving them on this greater journey,” said the Titanic director.

Apart from Lang, actress Sigourney Weaver, who played the role of Dr Grace Augustine, will also return in the sequel despite dying in the 2009 film. Recently, 20th Century Fox, which distributed the film, gave the release date of all the four sequels. The second part of ‘Avatar’ will release on December 18, 2020, the third instalment on December 17, 2021, while the fourth and fifth part will release on December 20, 2024 and December 19, 2025, respectively.
