    Warner Bros. has opted for double Oscar-winning director Ang Lee to direct biblical epic on MosesGods and Kingsafter a deal could not be finalised with Steven Spielberg. The director has always been fond of movie-making in a different style and if the news comes out to be true, this film could be another gigantic addition to the filmmaker’s resume.Gods and Kings, which is based on theBook of Exodusand other stories from theOld Testament, follows the life of Moses from his birth to death.

    The film has been scripted by Stuart Hazeldine and Michael Green and will be produced by Dan Lin and Matti Lesham. Meanwhile, Lee has also got a TV project in his kitty post his Oscars-victory withLife of Pi. It will be Lee’s directorial debut on the small screen withTyrantfrom award-winning producers Howard Gordon and Gideon Raff.

    According to BBC,Tyrantis based on cultural and political conflict, focusing on a normal American family caught up in the middle of a tumultuous Middle Eastern nation. The production for the TV show is scheduled to begin this summer in Morocco.
