    The list of this year’s Oscar nominations is out and ace Hollywood filmmaker Steven Spielberg's period filmLincoln, which has also picked up 10 Bafta nominations, has got the maximum number of 12 nominations, including in the most coveted best picture and best director categories.Whereas Ang Lee’sLife of Pi, which shows struggle of an Indian boy against a Bengal tiger amid sea, has got 11 nominations also in the two categories but its chances of winning againstLincolnare very slim.

Russell’sSilver Linings Playbook, which also star’sdesiactor Anupam Kher along with legendary American star Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence and Jacki Weaver, has been nominated in eight categories. Oscar nominations were announced at the Academy’s Beverly Hills headquarters in an early-morning ceremony in the presence of this year’s Oscar hosts, actress Emma Stone andFamily Guyfame Seth MacFarlane.
