    The highly anticipated flick, ‘Suicide Squad’, opened in theatres on August 5 and got mixed reviews from the fans and the critics. The David Ayer directorial pooled in $135 million over the weekend, securing the top spot on the weekend box office top five list. Matt Damon’s ‘Jason Bourne’ added $22 million on its second weekend, sending the overall earnings of the film north of $195 million.

    Jason Bourne brings back Paul Greengrass in the director’s chair. Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Christina Applegate starrer ‘Bad Moms’ earned $14 million on its second weekend. The movie took the third spot on the weekend box office list. The worldwide earnings for ‘Bad Moms’ have reached $56 million. Chris Renaud’s animated flick ‘The Secret Life of Pets’ is still attracting audiences on its fifth weekend and has brought in another $11 million.

    The movie has characters voiced by Louis C.K., Dana Carvey, Kevin Hart and Eric Stonestreet and has grossed more than $502 million worldwide. Running on its third week, ‘Star Trek Beyond’ brought in $10 million over the weekend and has now reached $194 million overall. The movie has been directed by Justin Lin.
