    Sully Leads The Weekend Box Office With $35 Million

    Tom Hanks starrer ‘Sully’ dominated the box office with its $35 million opening weekend. The movie, directed by Clint Eastwood, tells the story of the US Airways Flight 1549 which landed in New York's Hudson River soon after take-off. Tom plays the role of pilot Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger. The cast also includes Aaron Eckhart and Laura Linney.

    Jon Cassar’s ‘When the Bough Breaks’ came in second with its $15 million opening. The movie stars Morris Chestnut, Regina Hall and Jaz Sinclair. Made on a budget of just $10 million, the movie has done quite well on its opening weekend. Running on its third weekend, ‘Don’t Breathe’ took the third spot with $8.2 million, sending its worldwide earnings to $87 million. The thriller has done really well considering it was developed on a very small budget of just $9.9 million.

    David Ayer’s ‘Suicide Squad’ spends yet another weekend on the top five list with its $5.6 million. Till now, the superhero flick has made $699 million worldwide. Its star packed cast includes Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, Jared Leto and others. The newly released animated flick ‘The Wild Life’ saw an opening of $3.4 million. Directed by Ben Stassen and Vincent Kesteloot, the movie has grossed $24.2 million worldwide.
