Supergirl Flying High in New Poster

The upcoming DC comic series titled ‘Supergirl’ has got a new poster. Released by CBS, the poster shows Melissa Beonist as Supergirl flying through the city. The show is produced by Warner Bros. TV and Berlanti Productions who are also responsible for the DC comic series ‘Arrow’ and ‘The Flash’.

Supergirl will revolve around the comic character Kara Zor-El (played by Melissa Beonist) who left her dying planet Krypton at the same time as Superman. Kara is Kal’s (Superman) cousin and has hidden her superhuman abilities from the people of Earth for 12 years. She then decides to come out of hiding and use her capabilities for the betterment of mankind.

Written by Ali Adler and Greg Berlanti, the pilot episode for Supergirl will be aired on October 26. Both Ali and Greg will be executive producing the show along with Sarah Schechter and Warner Bros. TV. The cast of the show will include Chyler Leigh, Calista Flockhart, David Harewood and Mechad Brooks.
