One of the biggest ever face-offs in Hollywood is yet to happen, it seems. Two of the biggest superheroes of our cine-world, Superman and Batman will be brought together by Warner Bros. for the first time in the sequel to Man of Steel and the official announcement on the same has been made by the studio at Comic-Con on Saturday.

Zack Snyder, director of Man of Steel, casually announced, "It's official: We're making another Superman movie." Though he declined to comment further on the movie, he said that he had "pored through the DC Universe to look for a way to tell this thing.” And then he said that he has one more thing to reveal. The stage was then taken over by actor Harry Lennix who read a famous line from The Dark Knight Returns, "I want you to remember, Clark. In all the years to come. In all your most private moments. I want you to remember my hand at your throat. I want you to remember the one man who beat you."

Synder stated more, "I'm so excited to begin working again with Henry Cavill in the world we created, and I can't wait to expand the DC Universe in this next chapter.” He added, "Let's face it, it's beyond mythological to have Superman and our new Batman facing off, since they are the greatest Superheroes in the world.” The Superman/Batman moviewill also see the return ofAmyAdams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane. Though it’s uncertain yet who will be stepping into the shoes of Batman as Christian Bale has announced that he wouldn’t reprise the role of Caped Crusader anymore. The film is scheduled to release in the summer of 2015.
