Teyonah Parris Set To Feature In CBS Pilot Murder

Actress Teyonah Parris has been roped in to play one of the lead roles in the CBS drama pilot Murder, as per reports revealed by Variety. The actress has made a mark with her performance in films like Spike Lee’s Chiraq and Justin Simien’s Dear White People. She has also featured in hit TV shows like AMC’s Mad Men, Fox’s Empire, and Starz’ Survivors’ Remorse.

Moreover, the story of the series revolves around crime through the unique and often contradictory perceptions of cops and killers, witnesses and victims, friends and family. The series will take the audience on an emotional journey of an investigation.

Meanwhile, Parris will be seen stepping into the character of Det. Ayana Lake in the series. The series has been shot like a true documentary letting the audience feel the depth and truth as well as judge the suspects’ guilt or innocence for themselves. The film has been backed by Lin Pictures along with Warner Bros.
