The Guardian has reported that actor-director Ben Affleck wants his solo Batman flick, tentatively titled ‘The Batman’, to be great. He feels that if it is not as good as he wants it to be, he won’t do it. Since he will also be writing the script, Affleck wants everything to come together exactly how he intends.

“That’s the idea. But it’s not a set thing and there’s no script. If it doesn’t come together in a way I think is really great I’m not going to do it”, said the actor. The Argo actor also shared why he took the role of the caped crusader in the first place and revealed that he did it for his son. “Sam thinks his dad is Batman. That’s an incredible feeling”, Affleck added.

While details about the film are scarce, what’s known is that Joe Manganiello will play Deathstroke. It is also expected that J.K. Simmons, who will play the role of Commissioner Gordon in 'Justice League', will also be present in the solo Batman film. Currently, the project does not have a release date but Zack Snyder’s ‘Justice League’ will hit the screens on November 17.
