The Conjuring 2 Spin-off ‘The Nun’ Will Be Helmed By Corin Hardy

British director Corin Hardy has come on board for the spin-off to last year’s ‘The Conjuring 2’ titled ‘The Nun’. New Line has picked up the project that has been in development since shortly after ‘The Conjuring 2’ was released. It is based on the demonic nun that came to life in the horror flick.

The script for ‘The Nun’ has been written by Gary Dauberman and James Wan. Wan directed the two Conjuring films and will be producing the spin-off as well, along with Peter Safran, who produced both the flicks. New Line is not new with spin-offs as it has previously worked on the 2014 film ‘Annabelle’ - a spin-off of ‘The Conjuring' - which was a huge success.

New Line has plans for a sequel to ‘Annabelle’ releasing this year. The director’s credits include the 2015 horror flick ‘The Hallow’ which was distributed by IFC. Back in 2014, Corin was attached to Relativity’s reboot of the 1994 film ‘The Crow’ which fell through because the company had major financial issues.

Horror flick fans are surely in for a treat as ‘Annabelle 2’ will be releasing on August 11 with ‘The Nun’ hopefully releasing early next year.
