‘The Greatest Showman’ Set Had A Small Fire Incident

Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron will lead the cast of ‘The Greatest Showman’ which is currently in development. Recently, while shooting, a small fire broke out on the set but thankfully, no one was injured. This happened during the filming of the final scene where Hugh was supposed to carry Zac out of a burning house.

A representative for 20th Century Fox stated that the fire was quickly contained and no one was injured. The lead actors had filmed the sequence after which, the fire broke out. The reason for the fire was the six large lights that were hanging from the roof, which fell and spread the fire out of control. There were around 150 people on the set at that time.

Directed by Michael Gracey, ‘The Greatest Showman’ will hit theatres on December 25. Jackman plays the role of American showman P.T. Barnum, founder of the circus that became the famous traveling Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, while Efron plays his assistant, Phillip. The cast also includes Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Williams and Zendaya, along with others.
