    The Hitman's Bodyguard Dominates Weekend Box Office

    Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson’s ‘The Hitman’s Bodyguard’ has taken the top spot at the weekend box office. The movie saw an opening weekend of $21.6 million which is great news as it was developed on a budget of $29 million. Directed by Patrick Hughes, ‘The Hitman’s Bodyguard’ also stars Salma Hayek and Gary Oldman.

    Coming in second was ‘Annabelle: Creation’ with its $15 million second weekend. The second film in the Annabelle series has earned more than $160 million worldwide. ‘Annabelle: Creation’ was made on a budget of just $15 million and was directed by David F. Sandberg. Daniel Craig and Channing Tatum’s ‘Logan Lucky’ saw an opening weekend of $8 million which put it on the third spot in the top five list. The Steven Soderbergh directorial also stars Adam Driver, Katherine Waterston, Sebastian Stan and Katie Holmes.

    Christopher Nolan’s ‘Dunkirk’ still holds a spot on the top five list as it brought in $6.7 million on its fifth weekend. The movie has now grossed $392 million worldwide. ‘The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature’, the animated flick starring Will Arnett, Katherine Heigl, Maya Rudolph and Gabriel Iglesias, brought in $5.1 million over its second weekend. The worldwide earnings for the flick have now reached $17.6 million.
