"There are so many things that we took for granted as part of our world" :Natalie Portman On Sexual Misconduct

As it is known, Hollywood actress Natalie Portman revealed how she experienced the same kind of sexual misconduct as the other actresses of the movie industry have faced. The actress recalled one such incident in which a big producer.

The producer had asked her to a come to his private jet, which she expected to be a meeting of a group of people, but there was no one at the jet except her and the producer. Moreover, the actress saw that the producer had made a bed on the plane, the actress termed the incident as unacceptable and manipulative. Regarding the issue, the actress stated, “There are so many things that we took for granted as part of our world. A lot of things that we just kind of put up with for reasons of maybe just being numb to it”.

She further added, “But if you spent all your time reporting what was going on, that's all you would do as it's so pervasive. And yeah, it gets so built into the power struggles in every industry”. After the sexual allegations made against Harvey Weinstein, there has been a long chain of revelations in which numerous top stars have been exposed such as Kevin Spacey, Steven Seagal, Ed Westwick, Ben Affleck and Dustin Hoffman.
