    The seventh episode in the epic Star Wars franchise, The Force Awakens has broken almost all records in its run time. The movie has grossed more than $1.5 billion worldwide and has been on screen for just 19 days. The J.J. Abrams directorial pooled in $88 million this weekend which is the highest third weekend earning ever, domestically.

    Daddy's Home starring Will Farrell and Mark Wahlberg grossed $29 million running on its second weekend. The movie has claimed the second spot on top five list and the global earnings of the film have now reached $115 million. Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight has pooled in $16 million, running on its second weekend. The movie stars Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Michael Madsen, Tim Roth and others.

    Coming in fourth is the Tina Fey and Amy Poehler starrer Sisters. The movie grossed $12 million on its third weekend, sending its worldwide collection to $66 million. Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip claimed the fifth spot with $11 million, running on its third weekend. The animated flick has pooled in $91 million worldwide.
