Actress Karen Gillan, who will be next seen in the film Avengers: Infinity War, has said that the movie will not be just any other film but will be a huge ‘cinematic event’. Karen will reprise her role of Nebula from Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy in the film. Director duo Anthony and Joe Russo, who helmed Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War, will direct the flick.
In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, the 30-year-old actress said, “I mean, this is so vague but genuinely this is going to be more than a movie, it’s going to be like a cinematic event. Anyone who is a Marvel fan and knows stuff from 10 years ago will see it become relevant in this. It’s like everything that you’ve known about Marvel is building to this movie.”
Apart from Gillan, the film will also star Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olson, Chadwick Boseman, Sebastian Stan, Don Cheadle, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Pom Klementieff, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Sean Gunn, Tom Holland and Paul Rudd. Avengers: Infinity War will see all superheroes fighting against big baddie Thanos, who wants to acquire all of the universe’s Infinity Stones in order to become all-powerful. Besides Infinity War, Anthony and Joe Russo will also direct the fourth untitled Avengers film. Both the movies are being shot back-to-back.
