This Is When Steven Spielberg's Pentagon Papers Film Will Release

Considered as one of the founding pioneers of the New Hollywood era, director Steven Spielbergs is one director whom no actor can say no to. The director, who was once rated the greatest film director of all time by Empire magazine, is now in the news for his upcoming project. The latest in the front is that the Spielbergs untitled Pentagon Papers drama has got a release date.

Steven’s Pentagon Papers film will release on December 22 this year but will have a limited release and will be released in fewer theatres. However, the number of theatres would be increased nationwide on January 12 next year after the Golden Globes broadcast. Gossip mills are churning out rumours that the film will feature stars such as Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep.

Reportedly, Hanks will be seen as Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee, whereas, Streep will be portraying the role of publisher Katharine Graham. The film is based on infamous study done by The Washington Post on America's accountability in the Vietnam War. The film is being distributed by Twentieth Century Fox and is being penned by Liz Hannah.
