This Is Why Priyanka Chopra Chose Baywatch As Her Debut Hollywood Film

Global star Priyanka Chopra is on cloud nine these days and is probably in the best phase of her career. The actress, who gained international fame with her successful stint at Quantico, is all set to make an impactful debut with her maiden Hollywood flick, Baywatch. The actress is prepped up to don a grey character in the upcoming Hollywood film.

At a recent press conference of the film, the actress spoke at length about the film and how her role in Baywatch is different than her other negative characters. She said, "I have played villain in Hindi films before, like 'Saat Khoon Maaf' and 'Aitraaz', but I wanted Victoria (her character in 'Baywatch') to be very different... I wanted Victoria to be very feminine and at the same time very evil, as there is something very scary about that".

The Baajiraao Mastani actress also revealed the reason why she chose Baywatch as her debut Hollywood flick. She said, "After 'Quantico' I was offered some amazing films. But I liked 'Baywatch' the most because, one, it was a huge, big, global movie and I was a 'Baywatch' fan when I was growing up. And secondly, I was playing a villain in the film. So I liked the idea that in my first film I am doing something different... I always have chosen little different path. So that's what excites me. I wanted, after Alex Parrish (Priyanka's character in 'Quantico'), America to get introduced to me as something completely different, because Alex is such a positive character so completely bad was a lot of fun".

On a related note, the actress is occupied with the promotions of her Hollywood film in India. The film features Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron and Priyanka Chopra and will hit theatres on June 2 in India.
