Tom Cruise to promote Oblivion in China personally

After the huge success of Oblivion at the international box-office, it’s time for Chinese nationals to enjoy the latest offering by Hollywood hunk Tom Cruise. And to add to the excitement meter, Tom personally would be travelling to Beijing this week to attend the premiere of Oblivion.

According to Universal Pictures, the actor will be joined by Joseph Koisinski at the gala screening of the film, as reported by a leading news agency. It’s expected that the actor’s presence will mean a lot for the success of the movie at the Chinese box-office. Though, the exact date of Tom’s visit to the premiere show has not been confirmed yet by The Hollywood Reporter.

Tom is quite a popular figure in the country as records show that his Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol earned $104.9 million at the country’s box-office. The star is looking forward to revive his image after his Jack Reacher fell short of the viewers’ expectations. Oblivion has been released in Hong Kong following all the independent censorship rules and regulations. Tom will be following the footsteps of Robert Downey Jr. who promoted Iron Man 3 in China by being physically present in the country.
