Tom Cruise’s Oblivion stands first grossing $61.1 million internationally

The much awaitedTom CruisemovieOblivionclaims to gross$61.1 million last weekend at the foreign box office. A sci-fi film by Joseph Kosinski is ranked top in 48 territories out of 52. This film brokeCruise’s record of his last internationalJack Reacher.

Oblivionearned the most inRussia, where it did a business of approximate $8.6 million. From U.K., Ireland and France, it grossed almost $11.8 million. In all the South East Asian countries also, the film is ranked no. 1 with the highest earning amount. On the other hand, DreamWorks Animation’sThe Croodsmade a total of $25.5 million and remained no. 2 in territories like France, the U.K., Australia, Brazil and Mexico. But the film has marked a $387.3 million worldwide.

Paramount'sGI Joeshowed slow growth in62territoriesand earned a total of$270.7 million worldwide while Disney’sOz: The Great and Powerfulstood ahead of Paramount's production and fetched $471 million overseas.
