Tom Hanks Speaks About His Marriage To Rita Wilson

Academy Award-winning actor Tom Hanks is known for his immense contribution in Hollywood. The Cast Away actor is married to actress-singer-producer Rita Wilson. Recently, the 60-year-old actor touched upon his marriage and stated that his unification with his wife doesn’t need vast work as the two get along well.

As reported by Femalefirst, Tom has stated, “People say, Jeez, it must be hard to stay married in show business. I think it's hard to stay married anywhere, but if you marry the right person, it might work out. We give each other a natural sense of support for whatever the other wants to pursue”.

The Bridge of Spies actor continued, “Our marriage doesn't require vast work. We have been married 28 years and dig each other a lot”. Last year, Wilson underwent a double mastectomy and breast reconstruction surgery after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. About this, overwhelmed Tom went on to add, “All I can do is bow down before the courage of my wife”.

Tom and Rita met each other when they were in high school. The two co-starred in Nicholas Meyer’s ‘Volunteers’ (1985). Tom will soon be seen reprising his role as Robert Langdon in Ron Howard’s ‘Inferno’.
