Tom Hardy On James Bond Role: If I Mention It, It's Gone

Tom Hardy On James Bond Role: If I Mention It, It's Gone

There has been a lot of speculation about who will take up the role of James Bond, now that Daniel Craig has said no, or is in the process of it. Several actors were being recommended by several others, as well as by the fans. One of the recommendations was Warrior actor Tom Hardy. The 39-year-old recently spoke about the opportunity by not speaking about it, if that makes sense.

“You know, there's a saying amongst us in the fraternity of acting, and in the fellowship of my peer group, that if you talk about it you're automatically out of the race. So I can't possibly comment on that one! If I mention it, it's gone”, Tom explained. This surely means that he is ready for the role and would not say no, if the filmmakers approached him.

The Mad Max actor also suggested that Christopher Nolan would be a “fantastic” director for the next Bond film. He shared that though Sam Mendes and Barbara Broccoli have created an impressive world for Bond fans, roping in Nolan could “bring something new and create something profound – again”. Tom also added that it will surely be a hard task but feels that Nolan can do it.

What do you think about Tom Hardy playing the next James Bond.
