    Two Members Of Mena Crew Die In Plane Crash

    TMZ has reported that two members belonging to the crew of the upcoming Tom Cruise starrer Mena have lost their lives in a plane crash, while a third person has been severely injured. The victims include Alan Purwin, Carlos Berl and Jimmy Lee Garland. The accident occurred due to bad weather conditions which caused problems for the small plane the three victims were aboard.

    Alan Purwin was an American pilot and the founder and president of the Los Angeles-based Helinet Technologies. He was a skilled pilot who had been involved in films like Transformers, Pearl Harbor, and Pirates of the Caribbean. The other individual who lost his life was a Colombian named Carlos Berl who was on board with the two pilots.

    The second American pilot Jimmy Lee Garland was rushed to a hospital in Medellin. The trio were in Columbia for the shooting of the film. The director Doug Liman and Tom Cruise had reportedly finished a scene for the film before the accident.
