After working together in ‘The Help’, which came out in 2011, Jessica Chastain and Octavia Spencer will once again team up for a holiday comedy project being developed by Universal. The original script for the project was drafted by Chastain and Kelly Carmichael. The Miss Sloane actress will also be producing the film through her banner, Freckle Films.

‘The Help’ helped Chastain and Spencer both, in getting an Oscar nomination and the latter won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. The upcoming project will have Peter Chiarelli as script writer. He is known for his work in ‘The Proposal’, which was a hit at the box office. Maven Pictures will also be producing the project along with Carmichael, Trudie Styler and Celine Rattray.

Chastain was last seen in ‘Molly’s Game’ which was a critically acclaimed drama directed by Aaron Sorkin. She will also soon be seen in ‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix’. On the other hand, Spencer recently completed her work on Silas Howard’s ‘A Kid Like Jake’. She was last seen in ‘The Shape of Water’ where she was lauded for her performance.

Great to see two good friends reuniting on the big screen!
