Val Kilmer Explains His Alleged 'Difficult To Work With' Attitude

Top Gun actor Val Kilmer is infamously known for his alleged ‘difficult to work with’ attitude. Recently, the actor sat down for an ‘Ask Me Anything' session and shared that because he wasn’t flattering or reassuring enough to his financiers, it was believed that he does not care about the money or the film. He also stated that he likes taking risks while making movies and that does not always bode well with the administration.

“I didn't do enough hand holding and flattering and reassuring to the financiers. I only cared about the acting and that didn't translate to caring about the film or all that money”, the actor shared. Talking about the risks, Val stated that what his financiers consider to be irresponsible is actually a way for him to show his artistic integrity.

The Batman Forever actor also added that when the lead actor is usually the reason for a film being made, “then it's only fair to make people feel good and happy they are at work”. He also stated that several times while trying to make films better, he was unhappy. On the work front, the actor was last seen in ‘Song to Song’ which came out in March and has a few projects lined up which include 'The Snowman', 'The Super' and 'Riptide'.
