Vanity Fair's expose is an old lie: Tom Cruise's lawyer

After keeping silent for sometime over allegations that Church of Scientology has selected Iranian actress Nazanin Boniadi as a potential wife for Hollywood star Tom Cruise in 2004, the actor’s lawyer said this is essentially a “rehash of tired old lies”. In a recent article, the Vanity Fair suggested that Boniadi was vetted by Church of Scientology officials as a potential partner for Tom before he started dating Katie Holmes. Tom’s lawyer Bert Fields said journalist Maureen Orth's expose about his client's ties to the Church is "long, boring and false". “Vanity Fair's story is essentially a rehash of tired old lies previously run in the supermarket tabloids, quoting the same bogus 'sources'," he told Hollywood Reporter.
