Vin Diesel Gearing up For Third xXx Movie

Through an Instagram post, the Fast and Furious star Vin Diesel revealed that shooting for the third instalment in the xXx franchise will start soon. Variety was informed by a spokesperson for Revolution Studios that the return of Vin Diesel is being discussed. Revolution Studios owns the rights to the franchise.

In the post, Diesel said, “While I was filming XXX, guys on set called me Air Diesel… The time to return has come. Filming starts December in the Philippines”. The first movie in the franchise simply titled xXx starred Vin Diesel as Xander Cage. He was recruited by the National Security Agency for a mission to infiltrate a group of Russian terrorists. The second part in the series had Ice Cube play the lead as Darius Stone. It was directed by Lee Tamahori.

The Vin Diesel starrer made approximately $277 million while the Ice Cube starrer grossed $71 million worldwide. Revolution Studios was responsible for the production of both the films. Details about the new project are currently unknown.
