    Voices of ‘The Simpsons’ Returning for Two New Seasons

    Started in 1989, the hit animated show ‘The Simpsons’ will be coming back with its 27th and 28th season. Fox has confirmed that all the voice actors responsible for the 26 seasons so far, will be returning as well. In over 30 years, the voice cast for the show has received 11 Emmys and several other awards.

    ‘The Simpsons’, till now, has been awarded 31 Emmy Awards, 31 Annie Awards and a 2015 People's Choice Award. Throughout the life of the show, voice actors Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Hank Azaria and Harry Shearer have each been awarded an Emmy for ‘Outstanding Voice-Over Performance’. The 27th season is currently in the production stage.

    The show was created by Matt Groening. It depicts the lifestyle and outlook of a middle class American in a satirical way. The series is focussed on the ‘Simpson’ family, including the main character Homer Simpson, his wife Marge, his son Bart and two daughters Lisa and Maggie.
