If recent reports are to be trusted, Warner Bros. has roped in American film director and producer Doug Liman to wield the megaphones for ‘Justice League Dark’. The movie is the latest adaptation in the DC Entertainment universe. While the script for the flick will be penned by Michael Gilio, Scott Rudin will be producing the project.

The story revolves around a dark Justice League team that comprises of John Constantine, Swamp Thing, Deadman, Zatanna, Shade the Changing Man and Etrigan the Demon, among others. The American entertainment company WB has earlier teamed up with the Fair Game maker for Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt’s ‘Edge of Tomorrow’. Reportedly, Liman has left Channing Tatum’s ‘Gambit’ as part of the new agreement. As per insiders, the split is mutual between the studio and Liman.

For several years, ‘Justice League Dark’ was in development with Guillermo del Toro. However, things didn't work out. On a related note, Liman is currently occupied with the post production stage of Tom Cruise’s American Made.
