The 89th Academy Awards will be held on February 26 and is the most prestigious award show that commemorates the dedication and effort put in by various celebrities. This year, and for the first time in his career, Justin Timberlake has been nominated for Best Original Song for ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling’. As expected, the singer/actor is ecstatic!

Talking about the Oscar nomination, a source told HollywoodLIfe.com that Justin is “very humble, though, and not exactly thinking he is going to win”. He is up against ‘City of Stars’ and ‘Audition’ from the highly praised film ‘La La Land’, ‘How Far I’ll Go’ from ‘Moana’ and ‘The Empty Chair’ from ‘Jim: The James Foley Story’. Ryan Gosling, who is Justin’s good friend and also one of the leads in the musical, sang ‘City of Stars’ and so, there is some friendly competition going on between the duo.

The source added, “He’s (Justin) already been joking that he’ll never hear the end of it from his pals in *NSYNC if Ryan ends up winning it”. Over the years, Justin has won nine Grammy Awards and four Emmy Awards. An Oscar win would be the icing on the cake for the singer.

We wish him all the very best for the Oscars!
