Whoopi Goldberg Ready To Do Third Instalment Of ‘Sister Act’

Producer Ally Sherman and writers Kristen 'Kiwi' Smith and Carol McCullah are all set to produce the third instalment of the popular 1992 musical comedy 'Sister Act'. And do you know who has expressed her desire to do the film? Well, it is veteran actress Whoopi Goldberg, who played the iconic Deloris Van Cartier in the original.

When asked whether she would love to act in the third instalment, the actress said, Yeah, it would be a great blast. I would have a good time because it's a piece I understand and I know. But would they call me? Probably not. They'll find someone much younger to do it. They should call me," said Goldberg.

The original movie was directed by Emile Ardolino and written by Joseph Howard. The story of the first instalment of the movie revolved around Reno lounge singer (Goldberg) into protective custody at a San Francisco convent after witnessing a murder. Apart from Whoopi, the movie also featured Maggie Smith and Kathy Najimy.
