Will Ferrell cast in Tom’s Dad

Will Ferrell has been roped in to play a role in Tom’s Dad, reported by TheHollywoodReporter.  The upcoming comedy film will be helmed Lasse Hallstrom. The 47-year-old actor will be essaying the role of nightclub performer.
 

The story focuses on Arthur- to be played by Ferrell. Set in the ‘60s, Arthur is a struggling nightclub performer who gets weighed down by his 12-year-old son, after his wife leaves for a trip. Left alone with his son, Arthur is forced to bond with his son.
 

The movie is set to go on the floor by next year. Will Ferrell was last seen on the big screen in Get Hard. The actor will also be seen in Daddy’s Home alongside Mark Wahlberg. Ferrell is currently busy with the filming of Zoolander 2.
