Will Forte, Jorma Taccone Coming Together For MacGruber 2

MacGruber, a ‘MacGyver’ parody, was released in 2010 starring Will Forte and was directed by Jorma Taccone. The movie was a failure at the box office, amassing only $8.5 million but, the director and actor were quite keen on making a sequel. Now, it seems that the duo has officially started working together towards MacGruber 2.

Jorma took to Twitter and shared that he had begun writing the film with Will. The post read, “The writing hath begun!!! #MacGruber2 @OrvilleIV”. While it could not perform at the big screen, the 2010 film has been a cult favourite on DVD and cable. It starred Ryan Phillippe, Val Kilmer and Kristen Wiig, along with Will.

Will is currently part of Fox’s ‘The Last Man on Earth’ which is doing quite well. He will also be seen playing the role of comedy writer Doug Kenney in a biopic titled ‘A Futile and Stupid Gesture’. The movie is being directed by David Wain and will hit the screens next year.
