A period crime drama, ‘Detroit’, released last month and fared well at the box-office. Critics praised the film’s direction, script and performances of the lead actors. In a recent interview, actor Will Poulter revealed that he watched footage of Ku Klux Klan members for prepping up for the flick.

The 24-year-old said, "I've received an education through making this film. I watched a lot of footage of KKK members and white supremacist groups for 'Detroit'. The scariest thing about them is that they're so righteous and convinced that they're doing right by continuing to oppress others. There's a racist rhetoric based on lies that has this brainwashing effect on them".

The flick was based on the Algiers Motel incident during Detroit's 1967 12th Street Riot, and it released on the 50th anniversary of the event. The film also starred John Boyega, Algee Smith, Jason Mitchell, John Krasinski and Anthony Mackie. On a related note, Will is currently gearing up for two of his flicks which are all set to release in 2018.
