X-23 Might Get A Solo Movie But Won’t Join Any Of The X-Men Movies

On March 3, Hugh Jackman gave his last performance as Wolverine in the film ‘Logan’. The movie also introduced a new character named X-23, a mutant girl who has been grown from the clawed mutant’s DNA. The character was played by Dafne Keen whose performance was lauded by the audiences. Now, reports have stated that though she may be signed on for a solo flick, she won’t be appearing in any of the X-Men movies.

The producer of Logan, Hutch Parker, stated that even though X-23 is a great character, they won’t be “slipping her into the background of another movie”. “That’s the only kind of thing that Jim as a storyteller, a filmmaker… that’s the way his sort of process works. And the way his mind works in terms of what he would aspire to. Which isn’t to say that the studio couldn’t have a conversation about something else, but the one that we’ve been kind of discussing loosely and kicking around is more likely to be its own film”, he added.

‘Logan’ was an R-rated flick that earned more than $607 million at the worldwide box office. Directed by James Mangold, the cast included Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook and Stephen Merchant. What do you think about X-23 getting a solo movie?
