Young ‘Wonder Woman’ Emily Carey Signed In For ‘Anastasia: Once Upon a Time’

Emily Carey, who portrayed the young Diana in the recently released ‘Wonder Woman’, has landed another movie. Yes, the young Wonder Woman has been roped in to star in the upcoming film ‘Anastasia: Once Upon a Time.’ Carey will essay the role of young Anastasia in the flick.

The live-action family comedy is set in 1917. It re-tells the story of Anastasia Romanov when she escapes through a portal after her family is threatened by Vladimir Lenin. She later finds herself in the year 1988 where she befriends a young American girl.

The movie will be jointly produced by Armando Gutierrez, Eli Lipnik, Peter Lees and Bret Jones, while Blake Harris will helm the movie from his screenplay. Carey was very elated when she got to know that she would be playing the lead in the movie. “I am so thrilled to be cast as Anastasia. The team is incredible and it is such a beautiful script,” she said.
