    Zach Braff’s Kickstarter campaign grabs $1 million in funds

    It was Rob Thomas, theVeronica Marsseries creator who raised $2 million through his fundraising project and now his successor has come into light. Now it’s the actor-director Zach Braff who made his directorial debut with critically acclaimedGarden Statein 2004. Since then he has been looking forward to make its sequel which would be titledWish I Was Here. To finance the project he launched a Kickstarter campaign in this month and his project has already managed to raise $1 million in funds.

    It’s said that Braff is keen to control the creative quality of the film and therefore he launched the Kickstarter campaign. While talking about the project Braff told, "I always hit roadblocks, whether it was having to cast a certain person or having to retain final cut with the success ofGarden State.” He stated further on the upcoming movie, "With this movie, I’m so passionate about this movie, I was really about to sign on the dotted line with a traditional financing arrangement, and it’s been 10 years; God I want to make a movie more than anything. I’ll do whatever you want, I’ll give away final cut, I’ll put your brother in it, whatever."

    Recently Braff was seen in Disney'sOz The Great and Powerful.
